I originally did a series of Nightwing icons for trixie_chick IIRC. I kept this one because everyone needs a facepalm icon now and then.

This is one of the Richard Roxburgh in Van Helsing icons I did for calatha. She wanted plain bases, but this one just fit the caption. Which incidentally comes from the manga Hellsing, where Alucard describes himself as a "no life king". The Engrish is probably supposed to mean "King of the Undead", but it fits the Van Helsing Dracula, driven by his ambition and embittered by betrayal, burdened by melancholy and emotional attachments he cannot shed. This is one of my "I'm feeling evil" icons.

House of Flying Daggers is a visually beautiful movie. This is a shot of one of the heroes waiting, blindfolded, for daggers to be thrown at him in the obligatory bamboo forest. It's something of my "calm" icon, I guess.

I was hoping the algorithm would hit one of those - it's one of a series of icons I made from from the ASexual Revolution photoshoot by Steven Meisel. I've always been interested in genderbending and androgynous themes, and I have half a dozen of similar icons. This one is gritty androgyne.

One of only two icons I have that weren't made by me. fyrie drew Darth Qui-Gon Jinn for me, from a story called Will To Act that's plotted out in its entirety, but with not a smallest bit written. I'll get to it - I have way too many notes on it to abandon it - but I don't know if it'll be recognisable as itself. Plotting it, on the other hand, was an important creative step for me.
And this would be my decisive icon, by the way :)

The original photo is by Yusuke Tanaka and I took it from a site that featured an exhibition of work by young Japanese photographers. I have several other icons from that site as well. I love the melancholy of it.

As the comment to that icon says, fyrie pwns my soul. It's the crack ship only possibly rivalled in my mind by Vlad Draculea / Takarazuka!Death as performed by Maki Ichiro. And yes, I coloured Spike's hair to fit in with fyrie's Carpe Noctem series, where Herbert makes him stop bleaching it.

Ah, Máté Kamarás, the goofiest and most predatory Death who has ever graced the stage :D This is my only icon of him from the Vienna version of the musical Elisabeth. "Rar" is a good description of his interpretation of the role.

Cheating, but who cares :P I wanted to do more, but I only have 85 icons uploaded! This is the icon I've been using the most over the past few weeks, largely because Maki Ichiro is terribly pretty. And again with the androgynous theme because yes, a girl playing a guy. Incidentally, after playing Death she went on to play Elisabeth in another production. Impressive voice range, don't you think?
