1) 10 years ago what did you think you would be doing now?
Designing human interfaces for new computer software, perhaps leading a small group doing the same.
2) Where do you think you will be in 5 years from now?
Either actually making good on my first attempt, or trying to be a professional artist of some type.
3) Do you live life one day at a time or look to the future.
One day at time. Sometimes to a fault, sometimes it's obviously the way to live.
4) Do you wish you could go back in time and undo something in your life?
Of course. Anyone saying they have no regrets is foolish or lying. The trick is to not try to change the past.
5) If you could send a message back in time and give a younger version of yourself some advice, what would it be?
By definition, that's incredibly personal. But I'd probably say the same thing that I've answered the past several times this question's come up.

altfriday5:
1. Who were the influential women in your life while you were growing up?
Friends, my mom, teachers, sitters. I didn't grow up in a vacuum, went to public school. So I was exposed to women as caretakers and peers from birth.
2. Who are the influential women in your life now?
Friends. I trust their judgment and/or opinions on some topics, or at least believe they are accurately portrayed.
3. How would you describe the status of women where you live, compared to the rest of the world?
I live in the (new) South, so possibly harsher or old-fashioned social environment than much of the U.S. I haven't traveled extensively to or lived in another country, so the comparisons that I'd make are accounts from other people and not my own.
4. What is the single thing that would most improve the status of women where you live?
Meaningful, actual, usable respect for intelligence.
5. I can't think of a fifth question on this topic, so the fifth question is: make up a question about women and women's rights and answer it.
Neither can I, at least not a question that I haven't already answered to myself.
