wacky wednesday...?
Today was an odd day. This morning I had to deal with this computer guy who's been cancelling on us for over a week, and didn't even finish what we needed him to do, so he'll have to come again when we get back from the beach. After that it was off to work, which was fairly boring. Since I can't run errands because my lingering foot injury means I can't walk long distances, I did things like stuffing envelopes and hole punching scripts all day. But Blair and I whined our way into getting to leave at about 4:45, and the day became somewhat more of a win.
I headed to Hell's Kitchen to put together some Ikea furniture with some TSW folk, and a few minutes before 6 we headed out to try and get Mamma Mia SRO tickets. We had tried (and failed) to get rush this morning, so this was about the third attempt in our quest for tickets. We were denied SRO because the show wasn't yet sold out, and told to come back. We ate dinner, went back at about 7:45, and the show still wasn't sold out. We had pondered the possibility of seeing Marvelous Wonderettes instead (I still really want to see it--I've heard such good things) but we decided to stop by Toys R Us to buy Apples to Apples, and then head back to Bryan's apartment. We got there, assembled some more furniture, got rid of all the boxes, and then played an epically long game of Apples to Apples that was sometimes lame but much more often HILARIOUS.
Now I'm home and I really should sleep because I have to get up on the early side tomorrow. It'll be a busy Thursday--HOPEFULLY I'm seeing God of Carnage, after my epic fail with mousey1919 on Tuesday, in which we got there too late for SRO tickets because we thought the show was at 8 not 7. Oh well. We still had a lovely dinner. I also have much packing to do if we're really leaving for NC on Friday morning, though that's looking more and more doubtful...we'll see.
