A Little Night Music's Leigh Ann Larkin Confesses Her Ultimate Broadway Crush
What character from a Broadway show (past or present) could you fall in love with and why?
When I was in college I was obsessed with Rent. (Who wasn’t?) I was in love with Adam Pascal, who played Roger, and I think I might have told him at the stage door that I wanted to have his babies… oops! Roger was passionate, edgy and so sexy!
What’s the best Valentine’s Day gift imaginable?
It would have to be saying “I love you” to someone for the first time. New love is so exciting. What gift could be better?
What advice would you give for having a terrific Valentine’s Day?
Make an extra effort to spread as much love to those around you as possible. I know it sounds cheesy, but we often forget what an amazing gift love is. So if there is someone (or a bunch of someones) that you love, make it a point to tell them! And not just on Valentine’s Day, but every day.
Mamma Mia!'s Judy McLane on the Miracle of Everlasting Love
What is the most romantic Broadway show of all time and why?
For me, it’s Brigadoon, a beautiful musical fantasy. After a heart-wrenching goodbye, singing “From This Day On,” no less, Fiona and Tommy’s love is strong enough to bring a miracle. He loves her enough to leave his whole life behind to be with her. What guy would go to sleep for a hundred years to be with a girl? You gotta love it.
What advice would you give for having a super-romantic Valentine’s Day?
Anything that makes you laugh together is the way to go. Ice-skating at Bryant Park with a cozy hot chocolate afterwards, or maybe go to a comedy club. Don’t forget to leave some surprise love notes for your Valentine.
Avenue Q’s Lucy T. Slut on V-Day, Hookers & Cheyenne
What is the most romantic Broadway show of all time and why?
Any show with hookers: The Life, Sweet Charity, Annie.
What character from a Broadway show (past or present) could you fall in love with and why?
Mae West in anything she ever did.
What’s the best Valentine’s Day gift imaginable?
A hetero Cheyenne. Oh, just a willing Cheyenne would be enough. Maybe even just a tipsy Cheyenne.
