Peter Gallagher (and his magnificent eyebrows) to Croon for Chicago Audiences in Don't Give Up On Me



Tony-nominated stage and screen actor Peter Gallagher will bring his one-man musical Peter Gallagher, Don't Give Up on Me to Chicago's Drury Lane Theatre prior to embarking on a national tour.
Don't Give Up On Me, which premiered in 2006 as a benefit for the Actors Fund, was later presented at Feinstein's at the Regency. Hershey Felder will present the latest engagement that will play special performances from Nov. 22-Dec. 14 in Chicago. Additional tour dates have yet to be announced.

In the evening of song Gallagher traces his experiences working with showbiz veterans James Cagney, Jack Lemmon and Peter O'Toole, among others. Having appeared in the acclaimed 1992 revival of Guys and Dolls as well as the Encores! staging of Pal Joey with Patti LuPone, Gallagher also revisits songs from his stage career, including songs by Cy Coleman, Bart Howard, Lyle Lovett, Leon Russell, Burt Bacharach and Dan Penn.

Gallagher most recently appeared in the Broadway revival of Clifford Odets' The Country Girl. He received a Tony nomination for his performance in the 1986 revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night. His other Broadway credits include Noises Off, Guys and Dolls, The Real Thing, The Corn Is Green, A Doll's Life and Grease. Among his numerous screen appearances are "American Beauty," "The Player," "sex, lies and videotape," "While You Were Sleeping," "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday," “An Inconvenient Woman" and “The Caine Mutiny Court Martial."

Performances will take place Sunday and Monday evenings on Nov. 22-23, Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 13-14.
