Case On Leave from Broadway's Hair; Ray to Fill In
Vanessa Ray will meet a boy called Frank Mills in the Tony-winning revival of Hair at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre through January of 2010.
Allison Case, who originated the role of Crissy in the 2007 Central Park concert staging of Hair and continued with the production through its 2009 Broadway bow, is taking a temporary leave of absence from the hit revival.
Ray, who appeared in the national tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, is making her Broadway debut as Crissy. She will continue with Hair through January 2010, according to a press release.
