- Jesse L. Martin, Michele Pawk, Timothy Busfield and John Cullum are among participants in an Aug. 24 industry reading of Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, Todd Kreidler's play based on the Academy Award-winning film.
- The Guthrie Theater performers who created roles in Tiny Kushner in May, will appear in Berkeley Repertory Theatre's fall West Coast premiere of the collection of five short plays by Tony Kushner. It will run Oct. 16-Nov. 29, opening Oct. 21, in Berkeley, CA.
- Elaine Paige, the leading lady of the British musical theatre who made her Broadway debut in Sunset Boulevard, will bring her concert tour to Australia and New Zealand this fall.
- 92YTribeca has announced upcoming theatre-related fall programming, including an evening with the creators of Next to Normal and playwrights Daniel Goldfarb and Annie Baker.
- Mark Taper Forum's 2010 season will feature Judith Ivey in The Glass Menagerie, director Neil Pepe's production of Speed-the-Plow, the Los Angeles return of an acclaimed new play set in Iraq, Martin McDonagh's satire of terrorism, and a new musical with songs by a famous living singer-songwriter.
- Tony Award-winning actress Donna McKechnie, who recently choreographed Guys and Dolls in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl, will choreograph the Allan Harris musical Cross That River at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in October.
- The starry, music-filled Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, featuring a score by the Brooklyn-based band Hem, will be released on CD Oct. 27.
- Three performances of Frank Wildhorn & Friends, featuring Linda Eder, Lea Salonga, Rob Evan, and Douglas Sills, will be presented in September to benefit The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV.
