  • BURN THE FLOOR has announced a Student Rush ticket policy. Student tickets are $26.50 and will be available day-of at the box office only beginning at 10AM Tuesday thru Saturday, and beginning at Noon on Sunday. Limit 2 tickets per student with a valid I.D. Cash or credit card accepted. Subject to availability.
  • Denver Center Attractions announced its 2010 subscription series of Broadway touring shows, to include visits by Mary Poppins, Young Frankenstein, Legally Blonde the Musical, In the Heights, The 101 Dalmatians Musical, Shrek the Musical and more. The season begins with Legally Blonde Feb. 2-14 in the Buell Theatre and ends with Shrek the Musical, also at the Buell, starting in November.
  • The Pittsburgh CLO production of Into the Woods will feature Beth Leavel as the Witch with Hunter Foster as the Baker, Jennifer Cody as Little Red, Kevin Early as the Wolf/Cinderella's Prince, Greggory Brandt as Rapunzel's Prince, Tim Hartman as Narrator/Mysterious Man and Lauren Sprague as Cinderella's Stepmother. Also featured are Stanley Bahorek as Jack, Kaitlyn Davidson as Rapunzel, Sara Jean Ford as Cinderella, Brynn O'Malley as the Baker's Wife, Elise Santora as Granny, Stephen Carrasco as the Steward, Steffi Garrard as Florinda, Stephanie Maloney as Lucinda, Tracy Groth as Snow White, Betsy Lawrence as Jack's Mother, Paul Palmer as Cinderella's Father and Kathryn Lin Terza as Sleeping Beauty.
  • Composers Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham, who penned the Off-Broadway musical I Love You Because, will present two concert performances of their song cycle Next Thing You Know July 27 at the Ars Nova. The 7 and 9:30 PM concerts at the West Side venue will feature the talents of Jill Abramovitz, Farah Alvin, David Austin, Colin Hanlon and Jay Armstrong Johnson.
  • Jerry Springer will join the cast of Chicago's national tour in Atlanta this September. The tour will play Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theatre Sept. 8-13.
  • Rosemarie Dewitt, Sarah Jones, Halley Feiffer and Frederick Weller are among the stars who will be featured in MCC Theater's upcoming productions of Family Week or Still Life. For more info, go here.
  • James Naughton will star in a by-invitation-only reading of Hal Ackerman's Testosterone next month in Manhattan. The Aug. 6 reading at the SoHo Playhouse will also feature John Bedford Lloyd, Kathleen McNenny and Jill Usden. Show time is 4 PM.
  • Jeff Daniels will perform his one-man show Onstage & Unplugged Aug. 26-29 at the Purple Rose Theatre Company's home in Chelsea, MI, the stage and screen actor's hometown.
  • Tom Kitt will pen music for the world premiere of Daniel Goldfarb's The Retributionists, which begins Aug. 21 at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons. The Leigh Silverman-directed production officially opens Sept. 15. The limited engagement will run through Sept. 27 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater.
  • Angelwalk Theatre, Toronto's newest theatre company, announced an inaugural season to include two small-cast musicals. The company will produce the Toronto premiere of Altar Boyz and Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years. More info here.
  • Frank Wildhorn's new musical, Havana, a collaboration with Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz and Jack Murphy, will get a world premiere at Pasadena Playhouse in 2010. The Pasadena Playhouse's 2010 season includes: Camelot (January 2010), Fallen Angels (February 2010), Sight Unseen (April 2010), Havana (June 2010), and Pastoral (September 2010).
  • The dance musicals Andy Warhol Was Right and Encore, as well as a staged reading of Punk Princess with music by Tony winner Stew and Heidi Rodewald, have been added to the lineup of the sixth annual New York Musical Theatre Festival in September. In addition to the two dance musicals, NYMF has also revealed concerts, special events and readings that will be presented as part of the festival that runs Sept. 28-Oct. 18 in Manhattan.
