  • Tony nominees Penny Fuller, Tony Roberts, Gregg Edelman and the cast and creators of [title of show] will take part in the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's 2009 Cabaret and Performance Conference. Fuller will also join Tony Roberts for an evening of song, and [title of show] cast members Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen will offer a new work in progress.
  • The Off-Broadway cast of The Marvelous Wonderettes welcomed Kirsten Bracken and Christina DeCicco into the roles of, respectively, Suzy and Cindy Lou, June 8. On June 14 Lindsay Mendez will step into the role of Betty Jean. Misty Cotton continues in the role of Missy.
  • The cast of Broadway's Next to Normal, the new musical that won three 2009 Tony Awards, welcomes Kyle Dean Massey to its cast June 9. Massey is temporarily replacing Aaron Tveit in the role of Gabe through Sept. 6. If anyone here goes, I'd be interested to hear how he did.
  • Chicago's Harris Theater for Music and Dance will welcome Tony Award winners Stephen Sondheim and Christine Ebersole in 2010. Stephen Sondheim: An Intimate Exchange with the "Master of the Musical" will be presented March 4, 2010, at 7:30 PM. An Evening with Christine Ebersole is scheduled for March 25, 2010, at 7:30 PM.
  • Christiane Noll and Kerry O'Malley will headline Scott Siegel's Broadway By the Year concerts at the Berkshire Theatre Festival, beginning June 18.
  • Next to Normal's Tony-winning co-author Brian Yorkey will direct two productions as part of the 2009-2010 season at the Village Theatre in Washington state. Yorkey will stage one of six new works included in the 9th Annual Festival of New Musicals as well as the Neil Simon comedy Lost in Yonkers, which runs Jan. 21-Feb. 28, 2010, in Issaquah, WA, prior to arriving in Everett, WA, March 5-28, 2010.
  • Steven Pasquale will make his debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency June 28. Pasquale will perform romantic jazz-tinged classics from his debut CD, "Somethin' Like Love". Show time is 8:30 PM.
  • Theatre Resources Unlimited and Lisa Dozier in association with Elaine Smith will present a public reading of the new drama The Unbleached American June 15 in Manhattan. Michael Bush will direct the reading of Michael Aman's play at the Player's Theatre. The cast will feature Nancy Anderson and Jerry Dixon; show time is 7 PM.
  • Additional artists have been announced for the upcoming evening at Joe's Pub celebrating the songs of Lucy Simon (The Secret Garden). Newcomers to the evening include Whitney Bashor, Jessica Burrows, Paula Leggett Chase, Kerry O'Malley, Jill Paice, Zakiya Young-Mizen and Josh Young.
  • Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will present Chicago's The Second City in Barack Stars - a topical revue of sketch comedy, songs and improv, all on the subject of President Barack Obama - July 14-Aug. 2 in Washington, DC.
  • Betty Buckley and Andrea McArdle will be part of the "all-new" Nothing Like a Dame concert, billed as "an intimate benefit concert event for The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative." Buckley and McArdle join the previously announced Kelli O'Hara, Audra McDonald and Bebe Neuwirth. Hosted and "re-constructed" by Seth Rudetsky, the evening will be held June 15 at New World Stages. Show time is 7:30 PM.
