Piven reputation poisoned by mercury 'Plow' incident
Jeremy Piven’s mercury poisoning is still a joke for his former “Speed the Plow” co-stars.
When “Plow” actor Raul Esparza moderated a Q&A with the Broadway cast of “reasons to be pretty,” cast member Thomas Sadoski
presented the Tony nominee with a platter of sushi - and had the sound crew play the “Entourage” theme song when Esparza walked onstage.
And while Piven was never mentioned by name, it wasn’t hard to discern whom Esparza was talking about when he griped to the audience,
“I recently worked with an actor who would get to the theater five minutes AFTER curtain!”
...and some Jackman.
Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman checked out Thursday night’s performance of “Rock of Ages” and loved the show so much that he told the cast he’d
love to produce the show’s Australian tour. Afterward, the “Wolverine” actor offered his congratulations to Tony-nominated “Ages” star
Constantine Maroulis. “How do you hold those high notes, man? Wow!” the hunky Aussie gushed.
