McDonald, O'Hara, Plimpton, Cantone and O'Hare to Perform at Roundabout Spring Gala
Tony Award winner Nathan Lane will host the Roundabout Theatre Company's big band-themed gala Take Me Back to Manhattan at Roseland Ballroom on April 6.
Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Kathleen Marshall will stage the 9 PM musical revue that promises songs from Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and the Gershwins.
Currently announced to perform are Audra McDonald (110 in the Shade, Ragtime), Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific, Light in the Piazza), Boyd Gaines (Gypsy), Denis O'Hare (Assassins), Martha Plimpton (Pal Joey, Coast of Utopia), Brooke Shields (Wonderful Town), Jane Krakowski (Nine, Damn Yankees), Mario Cantone (Assassins) and Katie Finneran (Noises Off).
Guest artists for the evening include Matthew Broderick (The Producers), Cynthia Nixon (Distracted, Rabbit Hole), Michael Cerveris (Sweeney Todd, Road Show), Margaret Colin (Old Acquaintance), Bill Irwin (The Goat), Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock") and Richard Thomas (Democracy, Twelve Angry Men).
The evening commences with a 7 PM dinner, followed by a live auction and the performances. A 6 PM VIP cocktail reception is also available as part of the ticket packaging.
