Now that my arm is feeling well enough to type a lot, I shall tell you all the story of Renata's 18th birthday party.
She and her boyfriend, Chuck, were supposed to pick me up at 5:00. They were about a half hour late, but she let me know, so that's okay. I told my dad I'd wait for them outside since they didn't know which house I lived in. Just as he said "No, stay inside until you see their car," Chuck's Infinity flew by.
When we got to Playdium, I saw my friend from PC working there. I gave him a huuuuuuge hug! X3 It was nice to see someone from there again. I bought a $10 pass, and Renata bought the $25 unlimited pass which she shared. When we got in, the first thing we did was eat.
Chuck, Renata and I all bought nachos with cheese. Chuck had jalapenos because he wants to increase his tolerance for spicy foods. I told them I didn't think jalapenos were hot because I eat Indian food, and I've built up a tolerance for spice since I was young. They made me eat a jalapeno and I did and was like *meh*.
We sat and ate and talked for a long time, and we realized we should have shared our nachos because it was too much for us. We wondered what would happen if we just left the food. Probably would get cleaned up. So I took Chuck's recipt and a pen, and scribbled down "DON'T clean up! (We're coming back!)" and left it on top of the nachos. Off to DDR we went.
The DDR machines there SUCK. I didn't have fun on them at all, and it's hard to get it to be two player. We played like... one game. Then we played this weird water skiing game. It was cool because when I jumped on the pad, my player did flips and I got points. Afterwards, we split off into little groups.
Vicky and I hit the ticket games. She rocks at them. At this one game, we scored 700+ tickets. We had to get Rachael to help us carry them away. We took a picture. It's the Ticket Train.
We kind of bummed around and played some games for a while. Vicky wanted to play DDR, so I showed her how to play. We saw this guy there, though, who was more amazing than Gina and her brother combined. He was playing a hard song on expert and scored AA with a 400 combo. Then we watched him rock another song (backwards) and FAIL. My jaw dropped. :O
Afterwards, I played Vicky in Street Fighter to use up the rest of my pass. I think she ended up winning, but I owned her in the first round. Chun Li FTW. That chick can kick!
Rachael and Craig got tired of Playdium and drove to Tim Hortons. What a nice thing to do on someone's birthday. Just leave. ;P Vicky and I met up with Renata and Chuck, and we went to the food court. Our nachos were still there. XD!!
Chuck made me eat 3 jalapenos at once because he thought my first time was a fluke. I ate it and he was amazed. I'm (apparently) crazy.
After eating, we went to the batting cages. It was a little hard finding a helmet that fit, but we found one. And a light bat too. Renata ended up getting hit in the knee. (OUCH) Half of the time I was playing, the helmet would slide in front of my face after I swung. And I didn't bother lifting it back up for the next hit. I just listened for the "foom!" waited a few seconds and swung.
I actually got a lot better though with a lighter bat. I hit nearly every ball far. But the bat vibrating in my hand after each hit hurt a lot.
After Playdium, we all went to Renata's house and we saw her gift from her parents: a BIRD! He's a cockatiel, and his name was Tookie. We thought that was dumb, so we renamed him Bruce. He's such a dumb bird, it's so cute. When we walked into her house, the first thing I saw was a giant phallic balloon on the couch that said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". I couldn't stop laughing. Chuck took it and held it "there". I was going to take a picture, but it popped.
Rach and Craig came over too, and so did Corey. We watched Happy Feet together, which was an awesome movie. I loved the Mexican penguins. "I hear people wanting something ... ME!!"
After the movie, we kinda hung out and flipped through the TV. It was about 12:30 when I decided I should be getting home. Chuck drove me. We talked about music on the way. When he dropped me off, my dad seemed really really ... weirded out because Chuck isn't Renata's dad. I told him he was our friend from school. My dad said he looks like he's 30 years old. LOL
So yeah, if you didn't know already why I couldn't move my arms, it was those damn batting cages. I was in there 3 times.
Oh yeah, before I forget, I'm probably going to quit my job at Price Chopper. Those fucks can't get a schedule right, and they won't change it. I shouldn't have to work 2 jobs on Mondays. And they can't get a uniform size right. I look like a jackass wearing that large shirt.
There's a few stores opening by the clinic that I'll apply at whenever they hire.
