DIU Live show / Skinny Puppy
I've been getting the studio ready for the debut of the new weekly live show on DIU. Show time is this Sat at 8-10 PM EST. Humachine will be guests. More details to come.
Any suggestions for a name? DIU Live sounds too much like a certain other show I'm involved with, and "The Live Show" is too generic and boring.
Moving on, I've been catching up on the LJ posts about the Skinny Puppy show. I seem to be the only one who wasn't impresssed. I'm not the biggest SP fan, but they have several good songs, most of which they didn't do live. Overall, I thought the performance was tame and lacking in presence and energy. Very little movement on stage/no audience interaction, etc. This show was a major rip off at TicketBastards $40 (with the various "conventience charges") The last Chiasm/Firewerk show at Smalls was far more enjoyable and was only $5 too.
