Went to Grandma's funeral today, it went rather well and nobody fell out afik.

"The Vicar of Oz" did it well and kept it personal and touching. He'd met up with the family earlier in the week for a chat and to get to know Grandma a little better. He said if we came up with anything about Grandma, her interests and etc, to let him know. Mummyfrog remembered they had almost entirely missed her love of gardening and how much plant you can fit in if you try.

So I dropped him an email and mentioned a few other things about why Grandma rocked. I should have realised when he phoned to let us know when to proceed along the road etc and asked if I would like to read from said email.

We were in the front row and so when he opened up his notebook and took out a print out... he read the whole thing (including parentheses) out. So, that made me cringe especially when I got to "caravaning with her friends (although I am not exactly sure which friends)". Apparently, it was warm, emotive and touching and that is the best thing.

Overall, good and, Grandma, I'm thinking about you.
