Today is bright, and sunny, and I finally found enough motivation to boot up my black box and experience the joys of the internet.
And, huh, what a way to start!
After last week's horrible, I ordered something online. A stitchy something; I am a very enthusiastic needlework window shopper.
(Quoth buzzy: Shop! Shop! Shop your way to happiness!)
Only this morning I get the email saying that the kit was out of production and here's your money back.
As I loved (loved! loved! Loved my way to stitchiness!) the pattern, I am rather upset about this. It was a gorgeous pre-Raphaelite mermaid surrounded by a jewelled border that heralded hours of complicated fun.
If you need to know, it was made by Bucilla, entitled The Mermaid and had the code number BUC43585.
I'm not sure why I needed to do that, since it is pretty unlikely that there is a cross-stitch fairy out there magicking up kits. I now need to figure out what to do, whether keep the money (and be financially responsible, troll the interwebs, or find something else I love of a comparable price.)
Answers on postcards, please.
ETA: A Finnish site seemed to have it, but once shoehorned into English declared it out of stock.
