Question:
If you needed to have a rail accident in the NWT or somewhere else cold and Canadian, at the turn of the 19th Century, would it be caused by:
a) a boiler explosion
b) A muskeg
I love shrewreader and aukestrel for bringing the idea into my fictive consciousness.
I sort of need to know. Regardless, it is snowing, and Caroline seems like the only survivor (it's Fraser recalling it as Bob told it with oodles of romanticism which doesn't quite cover the jaring!wrong involved in Bob loading Caroline onto his sledge and cutting without checking for more survivors. Oh yeah, it's true love, and typically for this story (if it ever gets anywhere), begun in a really bad way...)
