The little robot has a cult following and got his own spin-off, admittedly it was unsucessful, but c'est la vie.

This is an excellent oportunity to point you to these: the BBC has digitised some of the old Virgin-published Who tie-in novels. Mostly the good ones.

May I direct your attention to The Well Mannered War, which is 4 and Romana and K9 and very funny and good.

Of the other Doctors I recommend Human Nature and Scales of Injustice. I haven't read Sands of Time, though.
