I've had a busy week already and it's only Tuesday. Yesterday was long, but I was glad to go give moral support to my friends from church after work.
Today I was planning to take my car for it's routine maintenance and get them to look at my window which got messed up by the theives that stole B's GPS. But instead...
...I fell down the stairs. It was bound to happen. It's been at least a month that I've gone without some sort of accident/injury to myself. I thought I was ready to wear some heels...I thought wrong. Me + heels + stairs = bad combination = inevitable falling down. I should have known better.
My poor B, still in bed and taking a sick day because he isn't feeling well didn't even hear me fall so I had to call and wake him up (thankfully the contents of my purse didn't go flying everywhere out of reach like last time). He gave me a little lecture about if I keep doing this I could get hurt worse one of these days and end up in a wheelchair (true true, yes dear; you are right; I'll try tp be more careful). I think he's getting desensitized in that I am soooo accident prone that he has to gauge the level of severity of the accident now. It's not just an automatic "OMG! Honey! You're hurt = We're going to the emergency room!". Now it's "Do you want to go? Are you hurt that bad?" Poor honey. He's exasperated with me.
So instead of taking my car to the shop and going about my day, I am laid up in bed again with my foot up and covered in ice (I'm really really cold right now even with a heated blanket and several layers of covers). I landed on my hip too so that's bothering me a bit as well as my forearm and wrist (all left side). Thankfully I didn't break anything this time and at least my right side still works so I can drive tomorrow. I have a busy week still...
Tomorrow - doctor appointment (unrelated to today's event) and...new furniture delivery! YAY! and another moral support visit to some more friends.
I'm sure there will be lots of jokes at my expense tomorrow at work too. sigh. Oh well.
