The latest news:

This is really a first. An internationally acclaimed and incredibly popular series of books... one of the leading characters (or at least one of the most important, outside the three main roles)... beloved by many, including millions of children - GAY.

Yay!

No, no, it's not the homosexual agenda talking. Just, well, I'd like to be seen as normal one of these days, and I know the best way to have that happen is for the kiddies to see being gay as normal. What better way than through Harry Potter?

I like how the author obviously knew this about her character the whole way through, and really stuck with, was faithful to her character. I also think, however, that it was a good idea not to make this public knowledge til after the books were all released. Better for sales, and also, it hits home to people the same way it would if a friend or family member came out... how can they disregard or hate Dumbledore now, after loving him for so long? He's still the same person. Kinda like life.

Josh was surprised, but I think he thought it was kinda cool. I must say, I suspected, after reading about Grindewald, but I never expected it to be announced, outright. That was pretty cool.

Go Dumbledore!
