this was the song that locked me to kelis forever. from then on she can do no wrong, and make sure you see the actual video for this song (it sounds completely different but still amazing) it will change your concept of what a hip hop video can be. and this is one of the reasons kelis is so important for hip hop and music in general. she is one of the few artists who really is unafraid to be herself. she draws inspiration from everything around her and she isn't afraid to reflect that in her work. her music is what hip hop could be if more artists were willing to take chances. anyway, back to les videos:

just to prove that you don't need a ton of money or a shitload of fancy ass animations and computer shit to make a visually interesting video. simple concept pushed to its limits=solid video. its really kind of genius.
I am not going to post milkshake or bossy or even blindfold because though they are all nice videos, they are overplayed. so instead i will leave you with the other end of the musical spectrum. on the one hand we have kelis and her talent, on the other there's... whatever it is that these two have.
