Romney wins in Michigan. Democrats debate in Las Vegas. The media speculates about what happens when the states with higher African American populations hold their primaries.
We'll have only realized Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream once race no longer matters when it comes to arenas such as national presidential elections. We're still talking about factors of race and gender. Someday -- in a distant, possibly utopian future -- we won't even think to mention them. They just won't be issues.
That's how we'll know we've made it.
