The rational part of my brain expects this to be a big, dumb, summer popcorn muncher with little or no redeeming social value. Michael Bay? Check. Big budget tentpole movie? Check. Obvious franchise with huge ancillary tie-ins? Check.
I know all of this, and I watched the latest trailer for TRANSFORMERS, because I really should be keeping abreast of what is going on in the Industry.
I also realized I'll be there opening day with my popcorn buttered, salted, and ready to munch.
Because even though it's just mental junk food, it is mental junk food with really cool looking giant robots. If nothing else, it should be fun.
