Well, apparently while he was thinking the matter through, Prefect's instinct had taken over, since by this point both of his hands were clamped around the extended wrist of the boy, and he was currently in the process of thrashing the moat into a frenzy of white foam while he tried to drag the boy under.
...Well, now the Prince was definitely not going to come any closer. Damn it.]

[Shrieked Prefect, in something a little akin to extremely unpleasant dolphin chatter. The foot aimed towards his face did jar him considerably though, he didn't let go, but he did lessen his grip on Edward's ankle considerably, pausing to quickly count his teeth, before redoubling his efforts.]
