So... I thought of this horror animated comedy piece about a town built around, well... murderers.
Basically, it's a town called Nowheresville, where the population is filled to the brim with ditzy airy big chested stripper like cheerleaders and dumb jocks, ready to have their heads sliced off at a moments notice.
Right now, I've just come up with the premise, and a few villian names, such as the dasterdly Honeybear, or Mockingbird Madison.
Think of the Venture Bros, arch villiany/and superheroism based in a beauracracy, and that's essentially my thought process here. A horror film where horror villians must get permission from a disembodied authority in order to commit their crimes.
And I'll go from there.
let's see, other ideas. Gen LMNOP, twenty episodes in, still working on 21, although it's been indefinitely put on hold for now. I'm working on re-writing the pilot script, taking out all of it's voiceover(or well, the majority of it, as the voice over works, but it's cheap, it's tired, and the rest of the scripts really have no or little mention or use of said voice over technique).
The Land or Sell Project, my time traveling detective, has been put through various incarnations. I've plotted out the entire first story. Whether that will be a full feature film or six issues of a comic series, I've yet to decide. Most likely both to be honest. I've started the comic. It's 1/5th of the way done with issue 1(which is to say, 1/5 of 1/6th of the whole story, which isn't much at all. I haven't even gotten myself out of the first scene!).
Jesus Hates America - I completed this script... last year sometime? I would still like to go back to it and do a re-edit. However, I haven't gotten notes from anyone and I don't think it's a possibility, especially with this being the election year I would have shot to have this made in. Maybe for 2012, or maybe I can posthumously set it in 2008. *shrug*
the Oriel World - A screenplay I wrote senior year. I really want to go back to it and tighten it up. It falls apart sometime in the middle of the second act and the third act is completely anti-climatic. I want to add a trek to Hell, as we get to see Heaven in the movie, and we don't see it's opposite. With that, the inevitability of the ending is certain, but how I get there, I could still have quite a bit of fun with it.
I've also been kicking around the tires for an hour long beaurocratic filled mess devoted to Professional Wrestling. Think if the Wire or Generation Kill met with the traveling wrestling business, and you get my initial thoughts on the show. This is something I've tried to write quite a bit, but been unable to get past the first five pages. I have a list of characters to use, a general outline, but ultimately, I can't commit anything strong to paper.
So, I have a lot of balls in the air, and I'm not really playing with any of them right now. I'm also in the midst of a 30 rock spec script(1/3rd the way), so perhaps I should finish that first. Or perhaps the Land or Sell comic, finish that issue as I'm 1/5th of the way through. But I keep going back and tweaking and editing what I have already, so that may be a lengthy process.
I wish I have more people to bounce ideas off of, to read my work and be more active in terms of creation... but ultimately, it feels very island like.
I'm back at Dr. Phil, working as a transcriber. Uh... it's okay. I should be transcribing now but I'm so tired and bored. Three more hours. I've gotten into this situation where, when I go to a job, I count the hours down. I go, well, I'm 1/8th of the way to home! Is that bad? Does that mean I haven't found the right job or is that just an inevitable conclusion to the human condition revolving around the traitorous nature of society?
Yeah. Those big words sounded awesome in my head until I read em allowed. But fux em, I'mma write em anyway cause it's my word to spill.
