dear lj,

no one reads you. but that's okay. u hold a special place in the hearts of pre-myspacers. u know the ones...the countless teens who absorbed the drama/gossip/and latest trends from your predecessors--xanga, ujournal, that other one which no one remembers the name of. oops i did it. i ended a sentence with a preposition. mr fay would have a harangue over such an incompetent act.

i totally forgot HWAT i was writing about. maybe that's why lj failed (compared to myspace and youtube). the fact that our generation can't write a literary thought. we can take a picture, photoshop it in some obscure filter and then post it photobucket or myspace...but a rational, structured thought goes by the waste-side. i read today that parents spend 500% (inflation considered!) more on their children this generation compared to the last. im thinking to myself...wtf did my mom get for christmas...torn bits of string manifested in some kind of sorry excuse for a doll named "susy-lu"?

oh well, social progress is probably what's most important. hell, let's elect a black man or 'puppet' woman as president and call it OUR contribution to the liberal arts. might just make us feel better. i do think the idea of a presidential address from an animated chipmunk version of george bush doesn't seem like such a bad idea afterall. atleast we'd be stretched to hear what he'd say when you speed it up to resemble alvin, and a white house press conference might sound more like a chipmunk holiday special. afterall, that's all i see now when i look at "W" anyway. people might take offense to making condoleezza a grey squirrell though. oh well, being offended is all a part of a free society encouraging free speech. now we just have to encourage the world that free speech is extended to copyrighted videos on youtube. thanks lj. you're a great listener. peace.
