turns out they are an unbelievable band, who woulda known.
last night i was walking home from the subway and it was raining. there was a mother and her toddler walking down the street. the baby was wearing galoshes and carrying a tiny umbrella. the mother was rushing and distractible. and the little girl stopped walking and dropped her umbrella and stuck her tongue out and tried looking at the sky but kept having to shut her eyes. her mom yelled, "kylie, pay attention." and i laughed.
cause it seemed to me that she was paying attention, and that the mother was the one not paying attention. i liked it. perspective makes me smile.
