Yeah, I do the same thing - like while watching Arashi's TV shows and they do something stupid, I involuntarily scream BAKA at them XD But yeah, WHEN I'M ALONE AND NOBODY IS THERE. To do that in a theater is a) rude b) stupid and c) makes you look like a fucking tool, especially the whole "American watching a Japanese movie" thing. I dunno, to me screaming random Japanese in that setting is just not natural - especially because it was dubbed in English. If you are really enjoying the movie, you would react with your gut, and being native English speakers, our guts speak English. While watching Arashi's shows, it's all in Japanese, so if you do know Japanese you kind of get into the flow of things and Japanese exclamations will come from that. But in my eyes she did that to try and show off how ~Japanese~ she is. Which makes me want to stomp on innocent kittens out of pure ANNOYANCE.
I dunno how to describe it without sounding like a total too myself lol I guess I've been around too many people who "know Japanese" from watching anime, but never could hack it when seriously studying Japanese (i.e. they would shout random Japanese catch phrases but dropped out of Japanese courses after one or two semesters).
