[For those that know the Twelve Kingdoms, they'd be able to tell that the location was Mt. Hou, but to others, it appeared to be a valley of lush green grasses surrounded by tall towering mountains. The sky was a light blue and the breeze was warm and carrying the scent of blooming flowers upon it. The land sloped forward from where Keiki in his Kirin form was laying, and at the bottom was a small stream that weaved its way through the landscape.

It was a tranquil place.

Although there were nyosen there to look after a Kirin's needs, Keiki did not dream of them. No, the only ones in the scene were Keiki himself, and his nyokai, Kaiko. It was warm, for seasons never came to Mt. Hou; what one would consider to be a lazy day. He was laying there upon the grass with his head resting in the lap of the bird-woman, surprisingly at ease, for this being was the one who had raised Keiki and who had taught Keiki the things that he needed to know. She was murmuring things as her fingers brushed through his mane, but unless one happened to be standing right next to the two, they would not be able to make out what she said. Yet, it was a serene place, a calm place.]
