The Bruce scoots to school

My middle child, The Informer, rode his scooter to school this morning. Not such a big deal because I've always taken the journey with him, right? Well, today was the first time ever that I was not with him. He has some friends on our street that ride their bikes and scooters so I agreed to let him go sans mom. Roos was very excited by this because he thought he was automatically invited. Well, Roos isn't quite as fast as the big boys and every bit as clumsy as his mother so he remains a car rider. It really wasn't such a difficult decision. The Bruce has been showing much more resposibility lately and Roos, well he's five. He was upset at first, but we talked about it and why and he seemed better after that.

So, we head off in the van this morning and I notice it's sprinkling. It hasn't rained in quite some time here in firey Florida. Suddenly...downpour! Yeah, the Bruce got soaked. Now I sit and wait for the kids to get out of school and I notice it is starting to sprinkle again. I bet Roos is happy to a car rider today ;-P
