I just adore the interaction between the boys here - lovely, tentative, sweet and there's so much going on below the surface. Ianto's quandry in that last bit was very much in character, even if I just want to wrap poor Jack up in cotton wool to keep him safe for a little, I can see why Ianto wants to go slow.
