This is far and away the best take I've heard yet on the Clinton campaign's minimal reaction to Geraldine Ferraro saying that Obama would naver have come this far if he was white. I was actually crying a little bit by the end of this commentary.
Note: I don't actually believe that Ferraro's remarks were made without the prior knowledge and consent of the Clinton campaign. I believe she basically took the bullet for remarks that the campaign wanted to get out there somehow without taking the rap for them. It happens all the time. But as this guy points out, the very fact that I believe that, rightly or wrongly, is actually a huge problem.
