Why are simple things so complicated?

Well, I found my phone. The battery, however, is still lost no matter how much I search. So I took it in to get another one since I have insurance. Well, silly me, I thought I could just show my receipt and get another phone. Oh no. That would be too easy. They were talking about charging me for this and this although I was standing there with my receipts like the Statue of Liberty. Finally the options were: buy a new battery if the phone works (cool) or file a claim and get sent a new phone if it doesn't (well okay). So they sent me to another T-mobile place. This is is placed in the mall right in between two kiosks where overly friendly young girls try to convince you to let them put lotion on your hands. Well, it turns out that they phone half-ass works but I still wanted to file a claim since it acted a little worse for wear. The guy agreed with me but told me I would have to wait and come back to file since I've only had the phone 5 days and you have to have had it a minimum of 15 days to file a claim. Then when I go back on sat. I have to pay a $50 deductible.
So here I sit so brokenhearted. I have a new phone number and no phone. More on this later...
