running high and dry

currently enjoying my favorite time of day.
those few hours after morning classes when i can come home,
strip off the clothes that have managed to absorb the 30 degree cold
and put on, awww the loungewear.
yes, if anything in the world could be more comforting than a cup of vanilla almond black tea and cotton... please point me in the direction.
yesterday, i watched oprah, one of the most enlightening people in the universe, and i realized that i too must clean my closet.
and no, not just putting away the summer clothes in exchange for sweaters...nooo, i'm seriously going to clean.
because as long as i can remember, i've said that i need to start dressing better, more professional... and yet, somehow, i've managed to slump back into the pathetic clothing cycle of jeans and tank tops. well, no sir, no more. i am throwing out the old, and tomorrow... bringing in the new...yep, i'm going shopping.
later today i have an interview with albertsons/sav-ons to participate in their summer internship program. because as beautiful as east coast summers are, i just want to be at home. they have 40 spots in california, and thousands of applicants, which assures me a rejection letter some time in february. i've been putting a lot more effort lately in finding ways to come back to california for the summer. but i have a feeling i'll be here, working full-time at children's and spending afternoons tanning in the park.
sam is coming friday and i feel really bad for having to work. it feels like i always have to work.... but especially so when i have visitors...
