ahhhh day off!!!!
i love days off.
of course, with the dnc in boston,
i am not likely to leave the neighborhood...
one of john's coworkers actually ran into bill clinton at the prudential yesterday
but, what are the chances the ex-president would revisit the same mall twice in one week...not likely!
i'm watching the view, it's my update to what's going on in the world without having to witness the obsurdities that occur on the nightly news.
what bugs me about the view...and i am sorry to say so...being a huge...HUGE fan of elisabeth hasselback on what not to wear...but she just needs to shhhh....
i don't know why, but she constantly, constantly, says the most stupidest things that make noooo whatsoever sense.
ok, yeah, maybe we all do that, but not on national television representing our generation of twenty-somethings. although my mom did say that the cast of the view has been more stylish lately...to which i had to mention...the look for less!!!
it has been awhile since i've updated on the livejournal. wwhat wonderful things have been going on that i must tell....
well, not much really, i'm counting down the days til' i depart from this great city (sense the sarcasm) and fly home. yes my arms will be tired, but it will be well worth it!
i've been working... yeah and you would think by now that i'd have tons of money saved up, not so my love, not so. sometime in between the biweekly check pickups are the credit card bills and apartment rent. and it's as if i weren't working at all!!!
which, by george i sometimes wish i weren't. but again, to emphasize, i love working at children's hospital...love it. what i don't love... knowing that school starts in a month...that i still have three more evening shifts on the seventh floor before the next schedule comes out...that i am not laying at the beach reading a book. in fact, i haven't been reading, i started the summer off with a bang, and now it's just high and dry. i think its been like, three weeks since i last picked up a book, and i just wasn't interested...maybe that was why. i need an interesting fun book, any suggestions??? i'm dying for some intellectual stimulation! haha...i said stimulation...haha..ok...
so yes, i've been working, and ohhh looking forward to moving into my new room down the hall...it's bigger, and well, let's just say, i've purchased a few items to spazz it up. i can't wait. i sometimes stand in front of it, because that would just be rude to go in... my roommate still resides there. and i think about placement and color, it's fabulous, really, fabulous!
oh yeah, so i had started talking about going back to school...i absolutely abhor those back to school shopping commercials... they're not cute! but i have some interesting classes that i'm taking this fall...vet pharm and a directed study with my oh so favorite professor steere. he reminds me of dr. greene on er...hot! haha, but sadly he's married and has the most adorable little girl. so no, it won't be THAT directed of a study.
isn't it horrible how martha stewart is being punished because she is so wonderful and people are just cruel and jealous? just recently, the boston metro had an article about a group of men who have basically stolen billions of dollars through similar stock scandals! billions! hello, little ole' martha's situation barely compares, therefore i think she should be freed!
