I have no idea what to write for my papers....I have one due on friday, one on monday and one on...I'm not even sure.
Why is my asian studies teacher such a Japanophile? Really, he's spent the last two classes talking primarly about Japan. I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure on the syllbus it says that the week is dedicated to East Asia. *sigh* It says that monday was supposed to be about China and Japan and wensday was Korea nad Taiwan...which was totally not what happened. Monday: like an hour at the most about China and how some peoples in Southeast Asia are actually Chinese...or something. Also Zhou is totally not pronounced Joe. The other 3 hours: JAPAN!!!! It was all about the origins of Japan, mythology, etc. *headdesk* How does that even relate to geography. Then today it was "let's watch this random movie about people from Laos for an hour...oh yeah then after that a video about rice agriculture in japan but really it was about insects that live in rice paddies." Then the other 2 hours was spent talking for 30 minutes about the KMT(Kuomingtang is not pronouced with a k!) and the red army and then 1 hour + about samurais. WTF!? Really. He needs to keep his Japan loving self to himself. I understand that your main area of foccus is Japan but really, I did not sign up for a class about Japan because if I did it wouldn't be called "Geography of South, East, and Southeast Asia", it would be "Geography of JAPAN." Somehow he relates everything to Japan, it's disturbing.
So tomorrow is all about writing this stuff. The one for friday is just another lab thing. I need to get an idea for my asian studies class. Maybe I should write about Japan...
This guy that sat next to me in class thought that Mao was the father of the Chinese independant movement....*sigh*
I need to be getting home, yo!
omfg....there's someone(s) that looked up Matsushima Hatsune at school....*shifty eyes*
