Oct 18, 2007 21:54

I took a quick skim through Melissa's profile and saw that "my zodiac sign is the Sheep/Ram....and so on....so I will RAM you" haha or something like that. xDD And then I was thinking, mine was the dragon. I havent checked that crap in a while cause Im usually reading what Pisces are all about. So I went on Wikipedia and all this technical yet interesting stuff popped up.
--------------------------------------------
- Since the zodiac animal cycle of 12 is divisible by two, every zodiac sign can also only occur in either yin or yang: the dragon is always yang, the snake is always yin, etc.
- When trying to calculate the relevant year, an easy rule to follow is that years that end in an even number are yang [ie. my year which is 1988]
- If the year ends in 8 it is Yang Earth.
- Earth

* Center
* Three Enclosures, Change of seasons
* The Planet Saturn
* The Color Yellow
* Digestive system, Spleen and stomach
* Patient, Militaristic, Prudent, Stable, Reliable, Hard-working, Ambitious, Stubborn, and very energetic
* Disciplined, Tenacious, Logical, Governed by Service and Duty to Others

'Governs' Dragon, Rat, and Ox. It is the central balance of the elements and can lend qualities to all 12 animals as well.
- ***COUGH*** and I wonder why I lean more to the color yellow now
- Dragon (Yang, 1st Trine, Fixed Element Wood): Magnanimous, vigorous, strong, self-assured, proud, direct, eager, zealous, fiery, passionate, decisive, pioneering, ambitious, generous, loyal. Can be arrogant, tyrannical, demanding, eccentric, dogmatic, over-bearing, impetuous, brash.
- a person might appear to be a dragon because they were born in the year of the dragon, they might also be a snake internally and an ox secretively. In total, this makes for 8,640 possible combinations (five elements x 12 animals in the 60 year cycle (12 x 5 = 60) , 12 months, 12 times of day) that a person might be. These are all critical for the proper use of Chinese astrology.
- The large-hour in which a person is born is their secret animal.
- POWER SIGNS; rat, ox, tiger, snake, monkey
ROMANCE SIGNS; rabbit, horse, sheep, rooster, dog, pig
- The First Trine

The first trine consists of the Rat, Dragon, and Monkey. These three signs are intense and powerful individuals, capable of great good or great evil. They make great leaders, but the three have different approaches. Rats and Dragons have a tendency to be quite dictatorial and autocratic, whilst Monkeys are more diplomatic. Frustrated when hampered, these signs are ruled by highly potent energy and unpredictability. They are intelligent, magnanimous, charismatic, charming, authoritative, confident, eloquent and artistic. They can also be tyrannical, bombastic, prejudiced, deceitful, imperious, ruthless, powerhungry, and megalomaniacal.
- He/she is flamboyant, attractive and full of vitality and strength.

- It would be right to say that people born in the year of the dragon have a natural charisma and are certainly gifted with power and luck. It is unlikely for them to escape unnoticed from a party or to take second place in a competition. The dragon person has an active mind and shows an unfeigned interest in the world around him/her. This person is also self-confident enough to know how to create a necessary impression. Because they are larger than life themselves, dragon people like to do everything on a grand scale. They are egotistical self-grandising and ambitious, almost to the point of megalomania. They will stop at nothing to get what they want. A person born in this year wears the crown of destiny, and is capable of great achievements if he or she knows how to harness his or her tremendous energy, intelligence and talent. While these people enjoy being the center of attention, they also have a brave and charitable side to their personality. If a dragon's friend faces a problem or dilemma, he or she will be there to offer help, and when others leave the field of battle the dragon takes a step forward to solve the problem with authority and dignity. Dragons set a high standard of actions for themselves as well as for other people and are surprised when others cannot cope with a task; they are so carried away by the process that they fail to see other people's weaknesses.
- Ideal jobs for dragons include kings, military officer, politician, musician, buffers, poet, artist, biological and environmental engineer, stockbroker, athlete, trade union leader, company director, explorer, and attorney.

-Dragon Love Affairs

These people are passionate, giving and totally partial when in love. They are blind to the faults of the loved ones and will shield the object of their affection against anyone or anything that could heart or threaten their love. Along with their inner power these people have an impressive presence and it is a usual thing for them to have a lot of admirers who are drawn by their charisma. On the contrary, the over-developed egos of dragons need constant attention and admiration from representative of opposite sex, and they will not hesitate to claim it if they feel they are not being sufficiently appreciated.

It is not difficult for dragon person to find romance, it is much more difficult for hi/her to settle down- there is often large quantity of love affairs take place at the same time in the dragon's life. The problem is that dragon person will soon be frustrated by emotional over-dependence or indecision, and will eventually set off in search of a new and exciting romance.

It is not a secret that these people treat love as a game at some point and it is rare for them to yearn for the past or harbor regrets. The situation is different when it comes to their ex-lovers who may carry a torch for the dragon lover long after the romance is over. It is very important to realize that people born in the year of dragon need a partner who would give them an opportunity to express themselves, someone who plays an active role but yet is not threatened by their irritable, stubborn and independent personality.
