The Quest for a Tablet

Jul 22, 2009 20:52

Ever since dear awesome-miniature-artist Ashton got his tablet at PaizoCon and I got to see first-hand how his awesomeness ncrease about 5 ranks, I decided to leave the realm of Pencil-only art and join the Wacom tablet owners. AS most of you know those thingies can go from $70 to $2,000+, so actually getting one wasn't such a difficult feat, but the problem was that I didn't wanted a regular tablet... and so I waited and waited to get my chance to land a nice gig and get me one of at least $250, still a Wacom bamboo tablet but the one with the largest work area.

As time went by and my Deviant site got spammed with several Ashtonishing (heh!) art, I decided to wait no more. And so I worked up a devilish plan. A 10 spot promo where I would offer to color for free all commissions that got in. This promo was supposed to close in 30 days or after all spots were taken, something I thought it would occour in some 25-30 days, and to my surprise, I'm down to 2 spots left in these 2 days since I started it.

I never cease to amaze myself with the awesomeness of the Paizo community, for I know that the people commissioning me do like my stuff, but I'm convinced that they ot the commission more on the thought of helping me out.

This journal is a big silent thank you for those few of you who reside in LJ, and a way to vent some of my excitement!

THANKS GUYS!
