Movin' right along....
Well, its been quite an interesting week....
Anthony and Lauren both have spent the better part of it with me.... Anthony for three days, and Lauren just left today after 5.... and she might be coming back actually either tonight or tomorrow night, because the electricity at her apartment complex has been off for the past few days and won't be turned back on for a couple more (and its NOT pleasant living on the 3rd floor of a building without air in mid summer!!).
I've really enjoying having them around, despite the loss of personal space and whatnot. Especially with Lauren... she's one of those few people that I can handle being around 24/7. Which is good I suppose, seeing as we'll be roommates in about, oh, 4 months?
Yeah..... Ed spoke to his landlord finally and asked him if it was okay that me, Lauren, and Candi take over his apartment in Whiting at the end of November (he's getting married the day after Thanksgiving)..... and the landlord said Yes!!
So, I'll be moving at the end of the semester to my new place (well, actually, I've lived there before, but this time..... it'll be MY apartment!) in Whiting. It's a little two bedroom apartment that has a tiny little bathroom, a tiny little kitchen, and a decent sized living room and sun room (where Lauren will actually be making HER room - the sun room, that is).
With Candi and I both having a car, and possibly Lauren sometime in the near future, it'll be a piece of cake to get us all to work and to school (its only about a 15 minute drive from Purdue). And its actually within walking distance of Sasank's smoke shop, which is kinda funny.
Also, Ed is leaving us the vast majority of the furniture, so we'll be okay in that aspect. I'll pretty much only need to buy a bed, which I can handle sleeping on an air mattress for a few months if need be....
So..... things are..... going smoothly, and according to plan I'd say. We're also trying to enjoy the last of the summer as much as possible, because once RA training starts on the 14th, the summer is pretty much over for us. Nick, Lauren, and I went to the beach yesterday, swam, soaked up the rays, and got crunked. It was fun actually..... I even ran into some old friends of mine (Rich Agnew) and ended up drinking with them and getting their number. Fun fun :)
I am kinda crispy today though lol. And I did get kinda sad last night.... I had a serious "I miss Sasank" night last night.... <*sigh> I was so tempted to e-mail him but I didn't let myself. If he doesn't make the effort to call me or message me at least once...... well...... I'm not going to throw myself on him. Those days are over. <*sigh> I do miss him though..... my bed was quite lonely last night. And Lauren and I had this HUGE discussion/fight over her on again off again boyfriend of three years, Sean...... we talked (yelled) about why she puts up with the way he treats her (like shit), why she's with someone who's day to day plan is to chill and smoke weed (every day), is going no where in life..... and is dragging her into the same life. <*sigh> I think she finally understood, because she told him off later in the night about the very same things..... I could tell that she got it. What I meant when I said those things, that is. <*sigh> I hate to play Devil's advocate, but it needed to happen I guess. <*sad> As her older sister (and you know, its not just me..... EVERYONE tells her that she's stupid for staying in such a shitty relationship)..... I cannot sit by idly anymore. She deserves better in a man and in life. Blah.
Well..... off to clean the apartment (its trashed), continue with my laundry, and finish the August newsletter.
