Dust in the Wind

"I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moments gone"

"All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind"

"Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see"

"Dust in the wind, All we are is dust in the wind"

"Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind, All we are is dust in the wind"

I believe in heaven.
I believe we go to a far, far greater place than this.
Getting there is not always beautiful. For some, Death will come in and gently carry you from your sleep.
For some, it is slowly comes with much warning.
For some, it comes in and harshly pulls them from their world.
And I think the last group must be the group that make the most pure of the angels. Because this group is the group that were taken by evil means, in my way of thinking, they are the innocents...the ones who are pure of heart. Many are children and can't defend themselves from evil. Many are caught unaware, but it is never pretty.
There is an ugly side...an uglier than ugly side...it is evil.
Dimebag Darrell was murdered by the hands of pure evil.
This is Death at his most heinous and vulgar. This person who took Darrell and the other victims lives, was not a man. He is one of the minions who prey on the innocent. Darrell was a man who was loved by all who met him. He was a man in every sense of the word. He gave and received love and respect. He appreciated life. Dime got it. He knew that life was for living and he did it his way. Dime and the others who lost their lives did nothing to deserve their fates, except have a common love of Metal music. To suddenly, and without provocation calmly walk up and blow a man's brains out, while he is playing to his audience, is unfathomable. I don't care that the officer shot and killed the shooter. His death is of no consequence. It doesn't matter what his reasons were. I don't care whether he would have had an excuse, had he lived. He murdered an innocent man in cold blood right in front of his fans, and turned on the audience he did not have the right to take any of their lives. There is no excuse. It was not his to take. I don't want to remember his name. He deserves no infamy. What he did was cowardly and senseless.

The beauty is that no matter what form takes us from this world. If we are without evil in our hearts, we are all led to heaven and with faith , we cross over to a life we could never have imagined. And those with the evil in their hearts.... Burn!

Rest in Peace Darrell Abbott...You were a fine man and an inspiration to thousands. Your Legacy will live on.
