It's been a pretty nice weekend, although I've been a little nervous for a few days and I don't know why. I think perhaps there's some kind of guilt, some kind of negative memory or feeling I can't let go of, but let's not talk to much about that.
On Friday I hung out with some people from studio and saw this really gorgeous prospective that might apply for writing (plz all thing divine!) and I saw the non musical play for the fall term, The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket. Everybody did a pretty good job, I thought, although I had a hard time forgetting that Mark Kittay was Mark Kittay (maybe just because he rubs me in the wrong way for some reason. He's nice enough, and he hasn't done anything to me. I don't know what it is) and I found some of the stuff Jeremy did a little unnarutal when he was playing a twelve year old. The play, however, wasn't that great. I liked the idea, overall, but the writing wasn't very good, and the way the scenes and the blocking in those scenes was set up made it a little awkward. Plus, the flying scene was a disappointment. Some of it was adorable, though. I'm giving it maybe 3 out of 5 stars.
On saturday met up with Harry Joseph and Ryan Pothering from home, cause harry goes to school in Boston and Ryan was just visiting. I bought a Joni Mitchell and a Belle and Sebastian CD and three nonfiction books from this freelance journalist's convention in the lobby of Ryan's hotel. We also had lunch and coffee and stuff and then I went back to the mall to meet up with Phoebe and Virginia and Kathy. Hanging out with Ryan and Harry was kinda cool. I can see how much living away from home has affected them both; I can see who they really are a little bit better, I think.
Anyway, Phoebe got her hair cut and then we got on a train home, where I got to meet Phoebe's rather attractive friend Damon, and then we went home. It was a really nice night. I watched Weekend at Bernie's till one thirty in the AM.
Today I slept in, went to Target in my pj's, and worked. Oh, and Kim made cake for the novemeber birthdays (that means me! I 'll be seventeen on the 26th).
I'm excited to go home soon. Leave me a message on my birthday so I'll feel extra loved, if you please!
xoxo,
Annie
