the skinny on my new life
School is finally out, and I find I'm not quite so bitter anymore. I had to do a detention, and having to listen to teachers I didn't like and actually obey Mr. Runey on his second to last day there was kind of....eh,yeah. I hated sweeping that stupid excuse of an art room.
Anyway, Summer has been pretty busy. I want to see the omen, but I didn't get a chance to go yesterday. However, I made a new friend: Jessica! Dadada!! It's nice to find someone who shares your opinions and actually gives a damn about things. Plus, we weren't in the mood to watch Sarah canoodle with her BF, Jeff, so we got in my car and made a run for it.
Other than that, I saw my first opera. The music and acting was really bautiful, but it was a modern version of Romeo and Juliet, which sounds cool, but I think it just took away from everything else. I still want to see The Magic Flute, Madame Butterfly, and La Boheme, but I'm just glad me and Dani got to go to an opera at all.
I've been Spoleto-ing it up. I've gone to a couple poetry readings, that opera, the art tents in Marion Square...no concerts yet, though :(, but its all good.
I feel like I'm having trouble connecting with my friends. What if its just me? It scares me a bit that I can only be around people for so long before I just want to be by myself...
Leaving for greenville tomorrow or friday, so all my govies should give me a call 843 557 4539 or the house phone here at Edisto 843 869 1275.
Yeah, so I'm at edisto, and I'm determined to finish my short stories and all the novels I'm reading. However right now I'm alone...and you know what that means...
