Marlene and Denzel were running around outside as the sun began to set. Tifa stood, strong and proud as always, watching them run around. She always looked so beautiful, a smile on her face, watching the children run and play, laughing and screaming.
I came up behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist and pressing my palms against her rounding, taunt stomach, resting my chin on her shoulder.
She leaned against me, sighing softly, pressing her hands to the backs of mine, gasping softly as the little life inside of her kicked out.
I couldn’t have asked for a better life.
