When one of them was away- on business or in a meeting- the other two always felt the heavy wait of his absence. They would joke around and pretend that there was no such absence but they always felt it, a very real empty feeling in their hearts.
The remaining two would sit in one of their offices, arms around each other, waiting quietly for their other lover to return.
Oh, well, such was the business world, they supposed. Sometimes it was simpler, working together, and other times, it was just as lonely as if they each worked miles away.
