Mechanics and scientists in Mayfield.. or just anyone familiar with robotics. I have a request. A pair of eyes, commissioned.

...But if these parts wont work for anything taken by the post office... forget it.

I'll... probably visit the post office later.

....I don't mind if someone wants to come with me.

I am making myself a new eye. I can build you a pair for the right price.

Someone already offered to do a pair for me just for the parts, so the price is better be a good one.

That depends on what you want them to do. My eye will have several unique features, including nightvision capabilities and a set of extra lenses for limited telescoping or microscopy. If all you want is normal, un-enhanced vision, then yes, it won't be very expensive, but the cost will go up with each unique feature.

Can you add those features to already built and working eyes?

Probably. I'm the leading authority on fontech in my world; there's not a machine out there that I can't figure out.

Good. Once I've received the eyes I'll contact you if there's need for more features. We can talk about the price then.

Your name was..?

Metis.

Should I call you or bring the eyes straight to your door? ..If there's any modification needed.

Call first; I may be staying in one of three places, so I'll need to tell you where to go.

T-three? ...Do you visit your family and friends or..?

....I'll call first.

Friends. I try to avoid staying at my assigned house if I can help it. I only go back to keep from getting droned.

I see. It's understandable.

..But isn't it hard to change house all the time?

Not particularly. When you'd rather be anywhere except one place, avoiding that place becomes very easy.

Oh.. yeah, I.. guess so. But it sounds inconvenient.
