PLA!
I am so excited to be going to the Public Library Association Conference. Last time I went was 2006 when it was in Boston. I took the train up with my Mother-in-Law. It is such a good conference. I'll be gone Wed am through Saturday late afternoon. I have to start planning out my clothes so that I make sure everything is clean and washed over the weekend since I won't be home Monday or Tuesday night.
I'll be driving down Wednesday morning. It will probably take at least two and a half hours. The first session I am going to or want to go to starts at 10:30. Wish I had the foresight to stay there Tuesday night too. That means I need to be in Philly by around 9. I need the time to find the hotel, park, stash my luggage (probably can't check in that early) and walk over to the convention center a few blocks away. So backtracking that means I need to leave here no later than 6:30. Oh fun!
Need to bring comfy shoes. I know there will be people in dress clothes and sneakers but I can't do that. Need a sweater in case it gets cold in the conf rooms. A tote for all the crap I will pick up in the exhibit hall. Loads of business cards. Already loaded three new ebooks to my iphone. Charger for phone and ipad. Should add some new stuff to the ipad. What else....I'm sure I will revise my list a hundred times between now and then.
Too much to think about right now. Glad Jeff and I are going out tomorrow night. It feels like forever since we had some time together though we did manage to sneak in some "us" time last night :)
