*WARNING* ...emo...
christmas is coming BAH, HUMBUG!!
so my friends were talking about what they were going to ask for - for christmas... and all of sudden depression and bitterness sets in... i love my friends and i'm so ... so very happy they have families to go to and whatnot... but i also couldn't help feeling jealous and bitter b/c i don't. actually that's not true... i could go see my brother @ his guardians... but i've never really been invited... or i could go to my g-mommies... but she doesn't even put a tree up anymore i don't think... muchless do the presents thing. she reads a lot... and talks to turkeys
friends have invited me to come home w/ them... but who do i go w/... and wouldn't that be intruding? christmas is the biggest holiday of the year...
sorry for being emo.. but i need some help... what should i do... where should i go? i don't have any time off really with christmas falling on a sunday... and then new years being the next weekend...
breaking up from such a long term relationship around the holidays... is the worst
*sigh*
help?

I hate Christmas and everything that goes with it.
I called my family this year and told them flat out not to expect anything from me (just exception of my sister and dad) cause I'm too poor.
And Christmas, to me at least, is not the biggest holiday of the year, simply because it sucks. I like Halloween. Then again I worship the devil and hate Jesus.

halloween is my favorite..
i just meant sterotypically and nationwide it's the biggest... or atleast has the biggest deal made out of it...
yea i'm too far in debt to buy anything for anyone for christmas... my gift to myself is to try and get out of debt enough to be able to breath and not keep drowning

Well, if it really means enough for you to leave or spend time with someone, try calling your family about it or some people you are close to (other relatives, friends, etc) and if they offer to have you up, go. What's important to you during Christmas? Figure that out, and let the answer decide what you can do about it, and maybe who can provide it for you.

my parents are deceased... mom was gone in 10/7/99 and dad was gone 10/28/01...
hence the reason my little bro lives w/ guardians... AND he lives across the street from our parents house... and our parents are in crypts on the property... it still hurts and creeps me out a bit to be there... but when i start to feel that... i just think of how Michael has felt for the last 5 years :-/
my g-mommie is over 5hrs away- funds are tight so gas isn't really readily available... so sticking to somewhere in NC is a must... and preferably under 1 tank of gas...
what's important to me during christmas? i'm not sure anymore.... it used to be enjoying family time... but the family i've been close to for the last 6.5years... wont even so much as return an IM... i mean my ex will... kinda has to, we live together... but his mom and all... *sigh*

I say if you have had invites to others homes, it might be worth going. I know my family has always loved christmas and we wouldn't consider it an intrusion to have other people there. If you do choose to go with someone I would definitely try to prepare (as much as you can) emotionally because seeing someone interacting with their family might not be the easiest thing in the world. I guess it kinda depends on your priorities. Good luck and sorry things are glib.

Maybe you should head home with one of your friends?
Random people always celebrate christmas at my house.

I take my gf home every Christmas.
Just find out which of your friends' parents said it would be fine to have you come, then go with them. I'd hate to show up without the 'rents even knowing I was coming.

i think i've made up my mind... well ok... so maybe not..
i don't really get time off for christmas... esp. w/ christmas being on a freaking sunday
but it's down to this:
go w/ friend 1 to lenoir...
go w/ friend 2 to lexington...
go w/ friend 2 to lexington and go be able to see my brother as well since he lives so close...
so yea... ding ding ding i think we have a winner ...
BUT waking up somewhere different on christmas morning
it's got me almost wanting to just be alone that morning...
i haven't spent christmas AM w/ the bro since he moved in w/ his guardians... i've never been invited for christmas there except the christmas dinner the night of... which consequently is when i'll be driving back to boone from where ever i've gone... sooo yea... blah
