Updatey-ness
Second day of new job; things are going well so far. No actual GIS or engineering work yet, just learning the ropes, helping out with project submittals, invoicing, stuff like that. So far everyone's been cool, and the commute isn't deadly. About 40 minutes going, 50 minutes returning. Which is enough to suck the energy out of me for a while after I get home, but, it's a pretty straight shot on the freeway. I'm the only female in the office, but, all the guys are my people (geeks) and my office-mate plays 70's & 80's music loud enough to sing along to. Could be lots worse. I found a couple errors in my boss's billing spreadsheet, so yay, have justified existence in that office for the last two days.
AutoCAD continues to be frustrating, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. (Sort of.) Anyone who knows how you copy one figure from a file to another file? I'd love to know.
I have "No Day but Today" from RENT earworming its way through my head. Must play something louder and sillier to get rid of it.
