Fabulous! I love both of these. I think perhaps you saved the best until last? These two are fabulous, I love Parker and pretender and Parker as conspirator, just, ngh.

I wrote the last one first, as it happens, because that was the one that just would *not* go a way. And the second-to-the-last one was the one that gave me the most agita in getting it right. Heh.

I love the ideas, and I've never seen someone write a whole story, longer than just a scene or two, about these premises. I may have to take them farther, see if they hold up. Thank you *so* much for the feedback.
