The first JE group i discovered, through their show "Cartoon KAT-TUN", which was so damn funny that i got obsessed with it. ^^
I really liked it and after some time i also liked the members and their music. Their music is more in the direction of rock and they have a "cool" image, but can be very nice and sweet. :
The Groups name was fomed after the acronym of each member.
*K amenashi Kazuya/ *A kanishi Jin/ *T aguchi Junnosuke/ * T anaka Koki/ *U eda Tetsuya/ *N akamaru Yuichi
Akanishi Jin was the sixth member of KAT-TUN, but he left the group in 2010, to pursue his solo career, which i personally found very sad. He was never my favorite, but i liked him nonetheless as a part of KAT-TUN. O.o Still, i wish him luck for his solo career. It was also confirmed that Akanishi Jin will star in a Hollywood movie together with Keanu Reeves. Well, it seems to go well for him.
Okaaay, but back to KAT-TUN xD since Jin left the group his A in KAT-TUN was replaced by KA from Kamenashi, so Kame got two of his letters represented.
The group debuted in 2006, originally they were just background dancers for other Johnny`s groups, but they got so popular that they stayed at that formation. They debuted with the Album BEST OF KAT-TUN and there single real face. They hold the record for highest weekly single debut sells as well as the record for highest weekly DVD debut sells. Their single was the highest selling single of the year.
KAT-TUN is a really popular Idol group right now and i think their music is pretty good. I personally like to listen to it, because i like rock =)
I first became aware of this group, because if their Show "Cartoon KAT-TUN", which i really really liked because it was soo funny. I can just recommend it, but sadly it`s their only show so far :( It was the first variety show i watched(from japan) so it has personal value for me. It`s true that trough KAT-TUN i found other Johnny groups and got obssesed with them =P And, yes Arashi has more Variety shows and some of them are even better than "Cartoon KAT-TUN", but well like i said: it was my first =) <3 xD
Okk, now i talked enough about KAT-TUN, i guess. HAHA, i wanted to give a short intro about the group and my own opinion. =) I kinda like writing something like a recension :o Perhaps i shoul review some japanese dramas? hmm... let`s see xD
