the days times never last
Last day of August, last day of summer. I don't care if it doesn't 'officially' end until late next month. The summer is over. AND IM SAD!! My favourite season, done in a blink of an eye.
Today was the last trip for the Summer Fun program. We went to Ontario Place and it was a pretty good day. We were short an adult and one of my kids listening was so bad he lost his chance to do the water park but other than that, good times. They LOVED the ghetto old log ride (when was the last time they dusted that??) and the nature centre. I've turned them into a bunch of nature nerds ^________^
My fellow school age teacher and I are really proud of our selves. For a pair of relatively inexperienced teachers (we've only ever been 'assistants' until this year) we pulled off an AWESOME summer. We ran a program that the kids really enjoyed, there were no HUGE HUGE issues, the trips were always a blast, we did great!! And the kids are still in love with us. (Mostly me cuz i'm da bomb lol)
These last two days are going to be all-day-water-play and a party day. Then its over. We say goodbye to our going-into-middle-schoolers and a few other families. IM GOING TO CRY then next week we welcome back those who had other summer plans.
